What to Expect
Chiropractic care can look a little different from one practice to the next—here’s how I do things at Thrive

Your experience at Thrive is designed to be simple, clear, and supportive from start to finish.
From the moment you walk through the door, you’ll be welcomed into a warm, family-friendly space where you can relax, ask questions, and feel truly heard.
-
Tailored to You
No two people are the same, and neither is their care. Every plan is built around your goals, your lifestyle, and how you want to feel not just a one-size-fits-all routine.
-
Relaxed, Family-Friendly Space
The studio is designed with real life in mind. From a calm, open-plan setting to a play area for little ones, it’s a space where the whole family can feel at ease.
Whether it’s your first appointment or a regular adjustment, you’ll always know what to expect—and you’ll never feel rushed or unsure. Here’s how your care journey will unfold:
Book Your Visit
Use the simple, quick and convenient online booking tool to find a time that suits you and your schedule. Once booked, you’ll receive a welcome email with everything you need, including directions to the studio and the health form that you will need to complete before your first visit.
First Appointment
We’ll chat through your health history, concerns, and goals to get a clear picture of where you're at. A full exam follows, checking posture, alignment, and nervous system function to fully understand what’s going on beneath the surface. If appropriate, your first adjustment may take place during this visit.
Personalised Plan
At your second visit, you’ll receive a clear, report of findings along with a plan tailored to your needs. We’ll talk about what care looks like, how long it may take, and your options moving forward. In more complex cases, this is when your first adjustment will happen.
Care That Evolves
As your body adapts, so will your care. Some appointments require more adjustments, some less. The adjustments given at each appointment are based on how you're progressing ensuring your care stays effective, responsive, and in tune with what your body needs.
Progress Reviews
As well as assessing your progress visit to visit, I perform thorough Progress Reviews every 10 visits, or earlier if required. I will reassess all your functional tests to ensure we are on track. Whether your goals are short-term relief or long-term wellbeing, I will tailor your care to keep you moving forward.
Ongoing Support
Your care doesn’t stop at the adjustment table. Whether you need lifestyle advice or a trusted referral then I’m here to support you. I work closely with a local network of midwives, nutritionists, personal trainers and other professionals to make sure you feel cared for in every aspect of your wellbeing.

Book NowFrequently Asked Questions
We know starting chiropractic care can come with lots of questions, especially when it’s for you or your little ones. Here you’ll find answers to some of the most common things people ask before, during, and after their visits.
1. How do I book, reschedule, or get in touch?
Our Practice Hub app makes it easy to book, reschedule, or view your care plan at anytime. You can manage your appointments, access resources, and stay in control of your journey, all from your phone. Life happens, so if you need to reschedule, just try to give at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. If it’s short notice, I’ll always do my best to help. You’re also welcome to call or WhatsApp me directly.
2. Where is the Studio located and is there parking?
Our full location details are included within The Studio page or alternatively you can find us easily using our what3words location ///during.shut.output. The studio is situated in a beautifully converted barn nestled between Leigh and Brockham, surrounded by the beautiful Surrey Hills. I feel very lucky to have such a great space. Free parking is available on-site. Our location is conveniently close to the surrounding villages of Leigh, Brockham, Betchworth and Newdigate and towns of Dorking, Reigate, Crawley, and Horsham, I therefore see people from Surrey, East and West Sussex and beyond.
3. How often will I need to attend?
My care plans are tailored to you as an individual, this will take into account your health goals, stress levels, age, past injuries and lifestyle. All of these factors have a strong influence on how quickly you may improve. While you might feel relief after just one adjustment, my approach is about more than just a quick short term fix, it is about restoring function and balance to your nervous system and body, helping you to truly thrive.
4. Do I need an X-ray/MRI?
As with everything, the need for any imaging will be evaluated on an individual basis. Should they be clinically indicated then I can arrange a referral for either MRI or X-ray for you.
5. How will I feel after my adjustments?
I use gentle techniques tailored to your age, body, and needs—including feather-light pressure for babies (about the same as checking a tomato’s ripeness). Most people feel great afterwards—looser, lighter, or more balanced. Occasionally, you might feel a little tired or achy, which is a normal sign that your body is starting to respond. Staying active and hydrated after your adjustment can really help your body get the most from your care.
6. Are adjustments quick, and will I hear a ‘Crack’?
Life is busy, I get it! Going to see the chiro doesn't need to take up your whole morning! With a thorough Initial Consultation and years of experience, I know what your body needs each session. Adjustments are precise and efficient, so they don't take long, a win win! During an adjustment you might hear a popping sound, which is simply gas releasing from the joint—it’s normal and not painful and actually feels really good! I’ll always explain what to expect and how the adjustment will feel before we begin, so you can feel relaxed and informed every step of the way.
7. What’s different when treating little ones?
Chiropractic care for children is incredibly gentle and specifically adapted to suit their stage of development. Techniques used on babies and children are not the same as those used on adults—adjustments are light, precise, and often use no more pressure than you’d need to check the ripeness of a tomato. I have undertaken extensive training in paediatric care and I use my experience (and my mum instincts!) to ensure little ones are safe, comfortable, and happy throughout their visit.
8. Adjusting fees and claiming on Insurance?
I’ve worked hard to keep care affordable for individuals and families. You can chose to pay as you go for your adjustments or pay for care plans (12, 24 and 48 visits) in which can also be shared with your family. You can pay via the online booking portal, through the app (once you're an existing patient), or in person by card or cash. Most health insurance providers cover chiropractic care, though I have chosen not to register with BUPA or AXA PPP. For all other insurers, you pay up front and I’ll provide invoices for you to claim back. You’ll be able to see individual treatment prices on the booking portal. Care plan pricing is discussed during your second visit, once we’ve had a chance to understand your needs.
